Most production frustrations are not accidents. They are the result of jobs that entered production without proper verification, artwork that was never properly cleared, and communication that only happened when something went wrong.
The Standard Run is DBS Production's answer to that. A defined five-stage process that every job passes through — from the moment a brief lands to the moment an order is ready for collection. Nothing skips a stage. Nothing is assumed.
The result is consistent output, predictable turnaround, and no last-minute surprises.

Intake Verification

Artwork, specifications, quantities, size breakdown, and collection date all verified before any job is confirmed. Nothing enters production with missing information.

Artwork Clearance

Pre-production proof issued and written approval obtained before production begins. The turnaround clock starts from approval — not from submission.

Pre-Production Check

Materials, garments, and equipment verified before the first unit is produced. Issues identified here, not after 200 shirts are printed.

Production Updates

Defined communication at key milestones. No radio silence. No chasing. You know where your job is before you have to ask.

Dispatch Coordination

Quality check completed and order verified against original specification before collection is confirmed. No surprises at collection.

The Standard Run is not a premium service tier. It is how DBS Production operates — on every job regardless of size, quantity, or order value. A single branded hoodie gets the same intake verification and pre-production check as a 100-unit corporate uniform run.

Turnaround begins from written artwork approval and confirmed payment — not from initial enquiry. Times are calculated in business days. Public holidays and weekends are excluded.

Collection only — Johannesburg workshop. DBS Production does not offer delivery. All orders are collected from our Johannesburg workshop. We facilitate organised courier pick-up for clients who require it — courier arrangement, cost, and risk remains with the client from point of collection. Collection address and times confirmed at intake.

Direct-to-Film transfers full-colour artwork into fabric. No colour limits, no screens, no minimums. Ideal for short runs, multicolour designs, and any garment colour.

    Artwork clearance is Stage 2 of The Standard Run. Non-compliant artwork does not proceed — it is returned for correction. This protects your job, your deadline, and your output quality.
